Explore The Fantastic Beasts Universe With Google

With J.K. Rowling’s latest adventure from the world of wizards and witches leaping out onto the cinematic screen this November, Google and Warner Bros. have come together to enhance the experience for us mere muggles with the magic of technology.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled for release November 17. And Google is bringing the magic to the real world with the launch of several new features.

You can now cast spells with your Android phones. For example, saying “Ok Google” and then “Lumos” or “Nox” will turn on and off the flashlight in your mobile. Want to mute your phone? Try casting a “Silencio” spell.

Also, Google Maps now allows you to explore the Fantastic Beasts universe with Street View. For example, here’s the Street View of the Goldstein Residence – “home of MACUSA employees Tina and Queenie Goldstein, bewitched with the latest in housekeeping charms.”

And finally, Google allows you to live the Fantastic Beasts universe in the virtual world with its Daydream View virtual reality headset.

Warner Bros. and Google are setting it up for a magical November. But that’s not all.

There’s also news going around that Johnny Depp will be making an appearance in Fantastic Beasts, and is slated for a larger role in the sequel. Now, that’s a magical treat!

So, take out your wands and get ready for Fantastic Beasts this month.
